WEEKLY WOD OVERVIEW FOR SEPTEMBER 5TH TO 11TH, 2021

Greetings my fellow CrossFitters, it’s September and 2022 officially starts in just under 4 months! With that said, here are some current and upcoming events to look forward to. Our Whole 30 nutrition started on the 1st, September 6th we are closed for Labor Day, October 1st and 2nd are the Autumn Games, October 30th we are looking to do a Halloween Bar Slam and our Christmas party is scheduled for Friday evening December 3rd.Let's get this party started:Monday, enjoy that extra day of rest we are closed for Labor Day.Tuesday we go straight for those shoulders to get that jacked look! We start the day off with some strict pressing building to a 2 rep max for the day. Then finishing with “A Farewell to Arms” with an every 5 minutes for 4 sets of running, strict handstand push-ups, strict pull-ups, dual dumbbell push press and toes to bar.Wednesday look to get in mixed tempo front squats where 2 reps being tempo and the second 2 reps will be normal. “The Age of Innocence” will complete our session with 3 rounds for time of dubz, deadlifts and hang squat cleans.Thursday, expect “A Handful of Dust” to be a longer 24 minute AMRAP with the focus on a steady state pace that will turn into a little more of a grinding effort. In this workout there are GHD/Abmat sit-ups, wall walks, box jumps and farmers carries.Friday starts off with more gymnastics bar muscle up progression and technique work then a fun benchmark style workout called “The Sound of Fury”. This 15 minute AMRAP has burpee bar muscle-ups, thrusters and rowing for calories. But, wait there’s more… establish a 2 rep max thruster from the floor.Saturday’s workout is dedicated to the attacks that happened on September 11th, 2001! “Always Remembered” is a team of two workout that starts with a 2,001 meter row buy in then 4 rounds of 9 rope climbs and 11 bear complexes then a 2,977 meter row cash out. Look to split up the work any way you see fit.“Look for possibilities and progress. Don’t compare and justify.”--Alicia Enciso
