WEEKLY WOD OVERVIEW FOR FEBRUARY 14TH TO 20TH, 2022

Wuddup my peeps! We are now heading into Week 7 of our PRVN Open Build Cycle. We are hitting a de-load this week (yes, you can celebrate) to allow the body to recover and adapt going into the Open. So this week, be mindful of the loading and volume, remember volume is meant to be lower, while also reducing percentages on our lifts.Monday we’ll start with a Snatch Balance and Overhead Squat EMOM. Before you start throwing a tantrum, know that this is a great day to come in and work your Snatch technique! So come in and get comfy with that barbell over your head. After that we’ll go into “The Sleeper” which is another EMOM (no optional movements here, moms!) that has all the things we love like the bike, toes to bar, the rower, and squat snatches!Tuesday, be sure to bring your running shoes! We have “The Raven” which has a teeny weeny bit of running (yes, I’m being sarcastic), some kettlebell swings, and… wait for it…… WALL BALLS! Oh, our legs are gonna bur-, I mean feel great after this WOD. But do not fear! There is some built-in rest so, yeah, there’s that to look forward to.Wednesday we have another day to work on our Olympic lifts. We will be working on cleans and jerks. Then we go into “The Bells,” a 1:1 work rest type of WOD that has DB Bench Press (yay!), Burpees (ugh), and Dubz (okay!).Thursday, as we know, is our long day. This WOD has a great name, “The Haunted Place” because for 30 minutes, you will go through as many rounds as possible of rowing, front rack carries, farmer carries, sandbag carries, and dead hangs. Weird but so good for us!Friday is our Open Prep day, so get them lungs ready! We have a strength piece that has front AND back squats, then “The Conqueror Worm” which is a sprint-style WOD including SA DB Thrusters and Chest to Bar Pull-Ups. Goodbye arms.Saturday has a lot of things and looks a bit complicated but it’ll still be a fun partner WOD. It has all the things so bare with me; we’re looking at DB snatches, wall walks, deadlifts, box jump overs, bike and dubz! Woo, that’s a lot, I guess it’s a good thing it’s with a partner huh?"The principle is competing against yourself. It’s about self-improvement, about being better than you were the day before." - Steve Young
